Waterfalls in Mountain Province

Mountain Province is a highland province in the Cordillera, with Bontoc as the capital and Sagada as the main visitor base. Our coverage includes Bomod-ok Falls near Sagada and Pongas Falls in the same area, both reached on foot through rice terraces and mountain trails. The walks are steep in places and best done with a local guide. The province is also known for hanging coffins, caves and cool weather, so the falls fit into a longer Sagada itinerary. The dry season is the most comfortable time to walk, and mornings are usually clearer.
