Region VIII · Visayas
Waterfalls in Eastern Visayas
Eastern Visayas covers Leyte, Samar and Biliran, with Tacloban as the main city and Ormoc as a western gateway. Our coverage is Biliran, including Tinago Falls and Ulan-Ulan Falls. The islands are greener and quieter than Cebu or Bohol, with hot springs, rice fields and coastal roads. Public transport is limited, and a rented vehicle or organised tour helps. The region is exposed to typhoons, so check conditions before travelling. The dry season from December to May is the most comfortable window.
