A four-level river canyon in southern Cebu with milky blue pools, a cave behind the main drop and cliff jumps of up to 9 m.
Kabutongan Falls is a four-level waterfall system inside a narrow limestone canyon in Barangay Looc, on the boundary between Malabuyoc and Ginatilan. The trek follows the river through waist-deep water and boulder fields before opening onto the main cascade, which pours into a deep turquoise pool. Swimmers can cross the pool and pass under the falling water to reach a cave about 20 m deep behind the drop. Jump platforms of roughly 5 m and 8 to 9 m on the canyon wall are the usual finale. The site is managed locally, and a guide and life vest are part of the standard arrangement.
