Pulangbato Falls in Valencia, Negros Oriental

A cool cascade over red mineral-stained rock in Valencia, with a hot spring nearby.

Pulangbato Falls gets its name from the reddish stones and mineral-rich water of the river that feeds it. The colour comes from sulfur deposits washed down from the geothermal area around Mount Talinis, not from warm water: the falls itself is cold. A short distance away, the Red Rock Hot Spring is the warm stop on the same valley circuit. A deep natural basin and a picnic area make the falls an easy, family-friendly visit.
